Yumpu Embed
Manage Yumpu PDF flipbooks from the ExpressionEngine control panel: a channel field that browses or uploads to your Yumpu account, a customizable JavaScript player, document editing, and MCP tools.
Version 1.4.12 · released October 28, 2026
Manage Yumpu flipbooks from inside ExpressionEngine: browse your Yumpu account or upload a PDF straight from the entry publish page, customize the player with a live preview, edit or delete documents from the control panel, hand clients embed code styled like your site, and render it all in templates with one tag. AI assistants can do the same through the MCP Server For EE add-on.
Yumpu Embed is an ExpressionEngine 7 add-on made of a channel field (also usable in Grid and Fluid), four control panel pages for the site-wide upload and player defaults, player templates and document management, a document editor, template tags, and a set of MCP tools.
Requirements
- ExpressionEngine 7.2 or later.
- PHP 8.1 or later with the
curlextension (standard on typical EE hosts). - A Yumpu account and API token (Yumpu → Account → API). Some document settings are gated by the Yumpu plan; the add-on drops settings your plan does not accept rather than failing the upload.
- Optional: MCP Server For EE 1.0.0 or later for the MCP tools (it needs PHP 8.2 or later itself).
- The Control Panel and the site served from the same origin (scheme and host): the field's picker, upload and editor calls are front-end actions sent with the editor's session cookie.

Changed
- License terms.
LICENSEgains a License Term & Renewal section (each license includes a year of updates and renews yearly; an expired license never disables the add-on), and Support, Updates & Warranty says a current license gives access to the updates released during its term. The same terms as the website's license page and the other Multimediality add-ons. - Changelog format.
CHANGELOG.mdgroups every release under Added, Changed, Removed, Fixed and Security, with Upgrading notes where a release needs a step; the release notes themselves are unchanged.
